I recently found myself at the Commercial Hotel Wallerawang, which turned out to be a hidden gem perfect for a last-minute stay before a big hike. The staff was incredibly welcoming, even letting us check in late after a mix-up with our original bookings, which I truly appreciated. Our room had some lovely period features that added character, including a charming fireplace that took me by surprise! The bistro served up enormous, delicious meals that were perfect for fueling my pre-hike energy needs, and it was great to unwind at the bar and chat with the locals. Despite some minor hiccups with keys, the experience was relaxing and laid-back, which is just what I needed to prepare for our adventure. Highly recommend this spot for anyone needing a comfortable place to recharge!
